Hartley Primary School

MFL

MFL at Hartley

At Hartley pupils are taught French by a specialist teacher from year 4 to year 6. We aim to enable pupils to understand and communicate ideas, facts and feelings orally and in writing. Each half-term pupils are taught a new topic through which they develop their knowledge of French phonology, grammatical structures and vocabulary. A variety of strategies (for example songs, games and role-play) are employed to enable pupils to embed new vocabulary.
